BADEN WILDCARD HARE SCRAMBLES event wrap

The WESS 25 Wildcard Hare Scramble took place at Baden Hall last weekend and once again that fantastic venue offered its unique and brilliant terrain up for a fantastic near 5 mile lap of what felt like a brand new venue thanks to the track design and hard work of Marcus Ireland & Mighty Mick in the week leading up to the event.
A good turn out of riders, considering this event was not even on the calender 10 days previous, put on a superb display of riding throughout all of the classes from the Tiny Warriors through to the Flying pace of the winning adults....
The Tinys Race 1hr and the Juniors 1.5hr races ran as planned but the adult 2.5hr had to be split into two 1hr races due to an incident with an injured Rider that required priority to the race running. An update on the Young man is a broken Left ankle and damaged ligaments in Right Knee, not good but much better than first anticipated after a racing incident crash... We wish the nice young Man Finlay Neesom a speedy recovery.
Race 1 for the adults was scored as the WILDCARD points race for the 25 WESS series and the second Race was scored as the days "trophy" Race ..
There where many stand out riders throughout the racing but the top man and riding so so impressively was STORM STACEY, the BSB superstar was on another level and gets better off road everytime you see him. Storm was having fun wheeleing around , beeping his horn!! (lol), Jumping and sliding around the tracks various send its and on the concrete road sections, drifting and sliding around like he was at oulton park!!!! Awesome stuff. (WOR Boss Steve Ireland said in his opinion if Storm decided to swap over "fulltime" to Enduro and put in the time and practice that is required then he would be at the very top level of the sport and that seriously would be easily acheivable for the likeable staffordshire lad, hes that naturally talented on 2 wheels !!!)
The Junior Race winner and stand out rider was once again the super quick and smooth Leon Carthy, continuing his rich vein of form that he has been in in 2025.
Top Tiny Warrior was Jaxli Redmond, This young man is another one that needs keeping an eye on, riding with a determination and maturity that is very impressive for such a young boy, He was once again in superb form for the 1hr race.
Once again a massive thanks goes out to ALL OF THE folk that make these events what they are from the quality Caterers and Enduro Racer trade stade through to medics, Lap score team, Doc Wards top photography, The land owners for the use of their superb land and the Riders and Racers for supporting the events.
A special thanks goes out this week to the BRILLIANT, professional and super efficent gang of marshals and track safety staff that excelled in a challenging situation and provided any one present with the safe knowledge that when it does go against the plan the team are on hand to keep everything as it should be.

For now its onto a MASSIVE week for the WOR EVENTS team as the MASSIVE BANK HOLIDAY UKGNCC weekend is on the cards in a few days ..This is SOME EVENT and one not to be missed ...The finest Hare n Hounds track in the UK.. Entries close for this event in 48hrs. Dont miss it!!
