CONEY WRAP UP AUTO 10 & WESS 14

The 23 WESS series and Autos final rd. (Wildcard runs this weekend at Welshpool) came to a brilliant finale at the always popular Coney Green Track in Stourport last weekend.
The WOR team had put in a massive effort that was 100 percent recognised by the riders as they showed their appreciation of the new , technical , twisty, challenging yet totally enjoyable, reworking of the wood section and linking fields in the 5-mile lap. There were some mega new climbs thrown in because it was doable due to the freaky "summer" October weather ...
A later than normal start is forced at Coney due to previous council authority issues...so running an hour behind the normal WOR timetable was...
The Autos where first out Sunday at 10am for 1hr ...Probably one of the most "all round" tracks was on offer for them as they enjoyed the early morning sunshine ..
Alfie Elvin was top dog with a load of other stand out rides that Race Boss Steve Ireland will shout out in the video Race Report later this week.
An 11:30am start saw the Junior Riders take to the WESS rd. 14 ..final rd., double points...(although as with the Adults the final standings and table will not be finalised until after the "wildcard" meeting this weekend at Welshpool)
Danny Healey rode a brilliant race to take the win with again lots of other stand out rides in each class to be addressed by Race Boss in the Video Report.
The Adults started at 1:30pm and the top man was Beta Mounted Kris Price with a super show of speed, fitness, smooth riding and a pace that was unmatched.
Again, a mention for all class podiums will be in Mr Ireland's Race video wrap up tomorrow...online and at all of WOR Enduro's socials.
A massive thanks goes out as always to the superb Internal staff, medics, caterers, onsite spares/ parts / tyre man Steve, top togger Doc Ward, Lap scoring crew ..the on the day helpers that come out to marshal and keep all safe ...The land owners at Coney for always treating us nice ..
BUT THE BIGGEST THANKS as ALWAYS ...the RIDERS & FAMILIES that sign in and turn up to support the events every week... There is not much loyalty in this game and lots of folk come and go,Pick and choose where they ride and that’s fine and how the world is, BUT WOR really does have a superb group of followers, Riders and Racers that make up such a great atmosphere and friendly paddock week in week out.
A special mention goes to young Jake Corbishley who had a nasty crash late on in the race and needed some ambulance time ...a very sore Jake is recovering well at home....Thank God.
Also ..Friends of WOR ..The HAND family ..have had a tough time of late with #174 Bad Ass ASH having had a very serious crash and injury whilst at MX...He is, by the grace of God, recovering and doing amazing things in hospital as he strives to come back to fitness...very pleased and proud of you Ash and best wishes to all the family in this very testing time.
The Final standings for the series will all be out after next week’s wildcard and also the date for diaries for the presentation night is 27th Jan ...tickets out next week...
